Service engine soon?
So yesterday my friend and I put on a cold air intake that we assembled on my 03 maxima. After we had it all put together and hooked up I started the car and it worked great except for the service engine soon light is on. Other than that light the intake works perfectly and does exactly what I wanted it to.
We think that it may be because that when we had the maf unplug we turned the car to accessory to roll up the windows, or that it is because my computer is confused because the engine is now getting so much more air sucked in.
So I have decided to take it to autozone later today and have them see if they can find a different problem, and if there is none, have them reset it.
I was wondering if anyone on here had any other ideas of what it may be. If I get it fixed and all goes well I will let you know.
Thanks for reading let me know what you think.

ok, now i know the problem, it will be a maf code for sure. you had to turn the key to the on position with the maf unplugged. thats it right there. for sure. the only way you can roll the windows up is with it in the on position.

Yeah NSMO240 I know it would have to be in the on position I just didn't want to say on because people would be like no shit it came on because you started your car with everything disconnected and I did not want to confuse people and get reamed for something I did not do. Accessory was just more understandable in my opinion.
And LS14 holy shit he beat me to my own post.
The people at autozone said that the error was that my car is just not used to getting so much air and that in 50-70 miles it should correct itself. I do not remember the exact code, but I do have it.

Here is a solution for you. Get going about 75 on the freeway let go of the wheel and jerk the E-brake. That is the only solution left for your car at this point you have totally messed it up.
Tell them to erase the code and then shut the car off and see if it really does correct itself. The car will not throw a code because it is use to getting to less air. A MAF doesn't do that. Besides you are not technically drawing in anymore air. At best you are drawing in atmospheric pressure. Now if you can somehow get more than atmospheric pressure into your intake without a turbo then you are to damn cool for words.

Yeah i asked the guy if he could clear it and he said no, I will let you know what the "code" was that it supposedly threw up, other than that I am going to just keep driving it and if it doesn't go away then I will have a series problem.
